A "sage" is a wise person. Owls are symbolic of wisdom, therefore, it is fitting that the "owl" is The Galloway School mascot. Our SAGE Program will serve as the leading instructional model for 21st century education, and we pledge to keep our standards high with a curriculum that promotes advanced instruction at levels and across all subjects. Additionally, students will receive focused instruction in writing, STEM, and global education. But that's not all, students will have the oppportunity in the mornings to take mini courses in areas of wide interests and continue their learning in the EXTEND afterschool programs. Galloway students will have ample opportunity to develop leadership through the Leadership Academy on days that alternate with mini courses. Students may service on the student council or Jr. National Honor Society. Service Learning, Character Education and Student Ambassadors will be part of leadership development.

Academic competitions will be available in every subject area and grade levels. Teachers and parents will work together as coaches for these competitive team events. New for the 2014-2015 school year will be an Honor Choir under the direction of Mrs. Kirsten Todd. Students will have the opportunity to audition for the choir the spring prior to the next school year if all grades are above a "C" average.

Students interested in exploring Latin, Mandarin, Hindi, or French will have the opportunity to sign up for the World Language Lab in the EXTEND program. Computer savvy students will enjoy the Coding Academy Club also offered through EXTEND, or, build rockets and robots as part of the rockets and robotics competition teams.

There are so many options for students through the SAGE Program. To say we are excited about Galloway's future would be an understatement!
