Summer Reading 2014 – Incoming PK 4 students
Wherever your summer adventures take you and your family, reading is a great way to beat the heat and relax. So, don’t forget to pack a few tales, including that summer reading!
PK 4 Summer Reading
· Required
The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn
This book will be used for in-class activities the first week of school.
PK 4 students and their parents should set a goal of reading at least 15 books this summer. We encourage children and families to read any book that appeals to them! The list below as well as the HAISLN and 2x2 Reading Lists offer great reading ideas by grade level.
- Goodnight Gorilla by Peggy Rathmann
- Are You My Mother? by P.D. Eastman
- Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
- Love You Forever by Robert Munsch
- Go Away Big Green Monster! by Ed Emberly
- The House At Pooh Corner by A.A. Milne
- Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown
