Admission Procedures
The Admission Procedure for The Galloway School begins with an
appointment with our Registrar, Ms. Maxine Burris. Interested
families receive a tour of the school, an Application for
Admission and a testing date is arranged. All prospective
students are required to submit an Application for Admission and
undergo admission testing. There are different admission
requirements for different grade levels. Parents are notified in
person, by e-mail, or phone of their child's acceptance or
non-acceptance.
Requirements for students entering the 3 year program are as
follows:
- Must be completely potty-trained
- Must be able to communicate
- Must be able to feed themselves
After the application forms are completed and it is determined
that the student meets all above criteria, the application is
then reviewed by the Head or Assistant Head of the School for
acceptance.
Requirements for students entering the Pre-K (4) program are as
follows:
- A testing date is arranged with school registrar
- An informal test consisting of basic information such as
letters, numbers, etc. is given
- The results of student's test is submitted the Head or
Assistant Head of School for acceptance or non-acceptance.
Requirements for students entering Kindergarten-8th Grade are as
follows:
- A testing date is arranged with school registrar
- Copies of student's report card or recent test results must be
brought to the testing
- A formal elementary SAT Test is given to each student
- Head or Assistant Head reviews student's past academic and
behavioral reports
- The results are submitted to the Head or Assistant Head for
review
- After reviewing all records and results parents are informed of
acceptance or non-acceptance
After students are accepted, an enrollment and facility fee must
be paid in the financial office to secure a place in the
school.
