Galloway Lower School
Excelling in Academics is the main focus of The Galloway School.
By providing a strong foundation for students in grades 3 years
through 2nd grade students are able to become
successful and well-rounded individuals.
The lower school curriculum focuses on a phonetic approach to
Reading and a hands-on approach to Mathematics. Through
these strategies and approaches children at our school learn to
read earlier and have a clear understanding of mathematics.
These skills provide a smooth road to their future learning and
excels them above the normal boundaries of each grade
level.
The Lower School curriculum consists of not only academics but
include Spanish, Art class, Music, Technology Lab and many
wonderful programs. Grades Pre-K 3 &
4 include playtime, social centers and field trips.
Some of the fabulous programs they participate in are:
- Nursery Rhyme/Historyville Day
- Thanksgiving Feast
- Christmas Programs
- 100's Day
- Rodeo Day
- Field Day
- Mother's Day Tea
- Owls Reading Program (ORP)
By combining academics and out-of-the classroom experiences we
have found our students achieve and maintain high levels of
academics throughout their edcuational experiences.
A complete handout of each grade level's
objectives is available upon the completion of a scheduled
tour.
