We are committed to providing a challenging but well-rounded program for all of our students in a caring, family-like atmosphere. The Galloway School, the vision of Mr. James H. Galloway, opened its doors in 1993 to 19 students in the Clear Lake area. Mr. Galloway was an employee of Humble Oil and Refining and Exxon for 43 years. He served as Senior Vice President, as a member of the Board of Directors, and on the Management Committee. Since opening its doors 17 years ago, enrollment has increased to almost 250 students. The school is governed by a Board of Trustees whose job is to ensure the continuation of excellent standards, to administer budgets, and to create an atmosphere where both students and staff work together to achieve academic excellence. Through extensive marketing, fiduciary responsibility, Board involvement, parent involvement, and an advanced curriculum promoting thinking skills, the school has excelled above and beyond all other private schools in both the Clear Lake and Friendswood areas.
